InternshipsHabla offers two kinds of internships: administrative and teaching. Internships are available for the following dates:
Summer: June 15-August 7
Teaching internships offer the opportunity to work besides Habla’s teachers in a range of possible classes: English, Spanish, and/or the arts. Summer teaching interns will co-teach children ages 8-11 in Habla’s summer arts school. Fall and Spring interns will work besides language and/or arts teachers in courses running throughout the semester. Habla does not provide financial support for administrative or teaching internships. Internships are designed for students who have just graduated from college or are taking a semester off and would like experience working in a community center and arts organization abroad. If interested in applying please send a cover letter and resume to contact@habla.org. |

Administrative internships offer the experience of learning how to build a community center that has both local roots and international outreach. The intern will work closely with Habla staff planning, implementing, and marketing a range of international events. Habla also places a high value on documentation: capturing what happens at Habla through photography, film, and writing. Interns will learn how to document teaching and learning in classrooms and assist our resident teaching artists and language teachers in documenting and sharing educational experiences at Habla.
